On November 28, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Victor Gail Janssen (33) of San Andreas on Pope Street.
Janssen was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm and for Obstructing a Peace officer.
November 27, 2021 at 12 Noon: A Toyota Corolla has run off Phoenix Lake Road outside Sonora and down into a ravine.
The car ended up on it's wheels but the driver did not survive the collision.
November 26, 2021 at 2:55 PM: A traffic collision has been reported on Ponderosa Road at Twain Harte Drive in Twain Harte.
Several vehicles have stopped to help. An ambulance is responding to the scene.

Beginning on November 29, 2021 Cal Fire plans to do a controlled burn south of Big Trees State Park.
Apparently they believe this will prevent fires!
November 24, 2021 at 1:15 PM: A grass fire has been reported on Hwy 4 at Bonanza Mine Road in Copperopolis.
Emergency personnel are responding to the scene.
November 24, 2021 at 9:50 AM: A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 49 at Middle Bar Road in Jackson.
The roadway is blocked. A tow truck and ambulance are en route to the scene.

November 23, 2021 at 8:50 AM: An injured fawn has been reported on Phoenix Lake Road at Bear Cub Drive in the Phoenix Lake area.
Why can't drivers slow down and use deer warning whistles?? Poor innocent animals!
