    December 31, 2023 at 10 AM:  A solo vehicle lost control on a turn on Hwy 12 at Camanche Parkway and overturned.

   An ambulance is responding to the scene.

Collision in Blue Lake Springs

    December 30, 2023 at 12:45 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Meadow Drive at Cypress Point Drive in Blue Lake Springs.

   A pickup went down the embankment and someone was apparently lying on the ground and is being exported by helicopter to a hospital.

Chains required on Hwy 4

    December 30, 2023 at 9:40 AM:  Caltrans is requiring chains on Hwy 4 at Cottage Springs this morning.

   It is snowing in Bear Valley.

Tree trimmer vs fire hydrant

   December 29, 2023 at 1:20 PM:  A tree trimmer has reportedly backed into a fire hydrant on Hwy 4 at Anrey Court in Murphys.

    Calfire and CCWD are responding to the scene. 

Traffic crash in Valley Springs

    December 29, 2023 at 11:30 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Nove Way in Valley Springs.

    No injuries have been indicated. 

Hwy 4 clear

    December 29, 2023 at 8 AM:  Caltrans has no chain requirements for Hwy 4 this morning.

    That isn't likely to last through tonite, though, with a storm headed our way.

Pickup hits snowbank

    December 28, 2023 at 10:45 AM:  A pickup has reportedly spun out and crashed into a snowbank near Tamarack Lodge on Hwy 4.

   CHP is en route to the scene.

    December 28, 2023 at 8 AM:  Caltrans is requiring chains on Hwy 4 at Tamarack this morning.

    Looks like Bear Valley got about an inch of fresh snow last night. Drive carefully.

    December 26, 2023 at 9:10 AM:  A big rig has jackknifed on Hwy 49 in the Tuttletown area.

   CHP is at the scene. They are waiting for a big rig tow.

Cow out on Six Mile Road

    December 26, 2023 at 9:05 AM:  A cow is out on Six Mile Road near Scott Street in Murphys.

   Be extra cautious until the owner can be notified and CHP can clear the roadway.
