Plane crash at New Hogan Reservoir
According to the Calaveras Sheriff's Office on February 22, 2024 around 4:15 PM. a report was received of a downed aircraft near New Hogan Reservoir.
A CHP helicopter was dispatched to assist the injured pilot, a 23 year old female. An investigation is being conducted by the FAA.

Dirt Road in Mokelumne Hill.
CHP is responding. The deer is between lanes, so be cautious in that area.

Vehicle in the ditch in Calaveritas
February 16, 2024 at 4 PM: An older white vehicle is reportedly off Calaveritas Road and into a ditch.
Apparently some juveniles are trying to remove it from the ditch.
Collision on Hwy 4
February 16, 2024 at 3:55 PM: A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at Hunter Dam Road in Avery.
One car ended up in a culvert. It isn't yet known if there are injuries.

February 14, 2024: Just after the Super Bowl parade and entertainment in Kansas City, shots rang out.
