Who brought POT study to Calaveras Board?? McManus makes a fool of himself--again!!

UPDATE April 21, 2015:  Calaveras County Counsel Megan Stedfeld said today that she believes it was back in 2013 that the then Board of Supervisors requested it, but doesn't sound real sure.
  **********
The most ridiculous Study Session was held at the Calaveras Board of Supervisors at 1:30 PM on Tuesday April 14, 2015, about Marijuana growing.

County Counsel said that a "prior" Board of Supervisors had asked them to set up a Study Session to create a bunch of laws to stop pot
or at least regulate the growing of POT in Calaveras County. We don't recall that meeting, so we will ask County Counsel.

Fortunately, every Board member except EDSEL refused to even consider it. Recreational approval of pot is going to be on the 2016 ballot in California, and most think it will pass.

The only member of the public to criticize the idea was the same one, who Supervisor Oliveira says he doesn't know, McManus, a prior candidate for Supervisor. He prefers booze, as everyone well knows.  While watching him, we were laughing hysterically.

Even Al Segalla spoke in favor of pot growing, as a property rights issue.

What a waste of staff, department heads and elected officials, not to mention the growers in the audience, who simply spoke indifferently to regulations, not opposing them.

You mean McManus? He was one of the main gun people campaigning for that Oliveira guy in that district.

McManus is one of Michael Oliveiras closest friends. What do you mean he doesn't know him?

Will Calaveras County have the funds to purchase a sufficient quantity of the new marijuana test gizmos for testing for impaired driving/marijuana?
