Fire truck in deadly crash in Stockton

UPDATE at 2:15 PM:  This collision has just been cleared. CHP has reopened the roadway. It was unclear who was at fault in this wreck.  Whether the fire truck had its lights and sirens on is still not known.

  UPDATE:  The fatal injury
was to a passenger in the silver SUV. Four others were taken by ambulance to area hospitals. Clean up and the investigation continues.


   April 28, 2015 at 11:35 AM:  A Stockton Fire Department engine was involved in a collision with an SUV at Hwy 4 and Filbert Street.

   The fire engine is on its side.  We understand that one person has died, but it isn't clear which vehicle has the fatality. The roadway is blocked and may be for some time while CHP investigates.
 Avoid the area.
