After Captain Macedo gave his personal review of Sheriff Gary Kuntz at the funeral, (which was not widely attended, with many empty chairs we are told) at Kautz, many have said they appreciated
his not trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the public.
Over the years, the Sierra Sentinel was privy to many off-the-wall comments Kuntz made "On the record" which can now be made public.
For one, when he campaigned, he made the statement " I'll even hug FAT women!" More will be forthcoming. We want to thank Captain Macedo for opening the door to the real Gary Kuntz.

I know he wasn't a good sheriff. What I want to know is, is macedo and the rest going to continue to be the same, dishonorable bunch they were under Kuntz?
I was there andyou're right. Macedo thru Kuntz right under the bus. I don't think he will continue the dishonor myself.

I'll be willing to bet the Sierra Sentinel has a million of them. Thank you Captain Macedo. It's past time the truth came out.
Wht I want to know is if Kuntz called any government agencies to try and help his favorite racist friends get their kids jobs cause no one would hire them? I heard its true, but want to know if the sentinel knows about it.
lol, that's exactly the kind of thing Kuntz would tell jokes about later; that he got them jobs, knowing they are racists and watch the government agency put up with it. lol
I believe that Macedo was telling the residents of Calaveras that if the BOS leaves him in there, that he will NOT continue the corrupt policies of Kuntz!
I know at least two of the "crazies" and freadks that Kuntz visiting with in his office for hours at a time. just watch the board meetings. They hang out at the government center all the time. wack jobs. Kuntz loved and laughed at them all the time. Now they're probably asking for a memorial stature to him
Kuntz used people who were stupid and crazy. he just used them and then laughed.
For years Macedo did ALL the work so that Kuntz could play with his crazy friends in his office and at other places of ill repute. Maybe he got sick of it all.
What I wondered was, I read an obituary somewhere that said he died at home surrounded by family and friends. Instead of calling an ambulance, they called his family and friends to come over??
The way I heard it, Macedo was supposed to praise and hkonor his 'boss' just like the other liars up there. So glad he didn't!
I think he saw that in the old days sheriff's got away with screwing around and corruption, that he thought he could too. Didn't know he wouldn't live to retire "honorably".
But with the internet, not many get away with that these days, anyway.
why don't you all just shut up about gary. I liked him just the way he was. didn't cower to women. didn't bend over for boards, hated working, so what!?
I was most alerted when he said how proud Kuntz was to be a German. That explains a lot of things. He protected possible Nazi's, racists, all the Germans? They were many of his "wierd" friends?
