The contestants for Miss Calaveras 2016 have been announced by the Calaveras County Fair. May 19, 2016 at 8 PM only six will take the stage.Macy Breaux, a student at Bret Harte High School, Haley Long of Calaveras High School, Brighton Hamari of Bret Harte High School, Emma Hampton of Calaveras High School, Makayla Ruthrauff of Calaveras High School and Sierra Stackpole of Calaveras High School.

It seems every year there is less and less interest. there must be a reason.
Perhaps because there is just less interst in county fairs in general.
