UPDATE at 1 PM: Per CHP around 60 other motorcycles stopped at the location of the collision, blocking both lanes of traffic. One person was taken to Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Hwy 4 is now clear.
UPDATE: Hwy 4 is currently blocked. Avoid the area if possible. This is at the Stanislaus County line. The roadway is blocked in both directions.
May 14, 2016 at 11:20 AM: Three motorcycles who were reportedly run off Hwy 4 are down in the roadway about 5 miles west of Copperopolis.
CHP and an ambulance are en route to the scene. Be extra cautious if headed that way.
