On May 27, 2016 the Calaveras Sheriff's Office receive three complaints about people gathering signatures for a petition on Main Street in Copperopolis.
A disturbance, a verbal altercation and other complaints have been common as certain signature gatherers get aggressive about having people sign.

One lady gathering signatures for the ban at Valley Springs car show was quite argumentative when told no. Just accept I don't want to sign and leave me alone.
I had the same problem with a scroungy looking guy in Arnold. What is wrong with them?
