Dear Editor:
I have always been opposed to any ban on cannabis in Calaveras County. Those who are in favor of a ban all seem to be of one ilk.
It would be just like Prohibition of Alcohol. That created massive corruption and illegal booze, killings and all kinds of crime.
I don't think we should go there again. Just regulate the heck out of it. Just my humble opinion.

Growers aren't in it to be regulated and taxed to death on their grows. There will be those who grow without permits and take the chance of not being caught, so as to make the dollar.
I don't have any use for pot but banning it won't help anything.
