Two Calaveras Sheriff's deputies were injured after being called to a residence on La Contenta Drive in Valley Springs around 11:45 PM for a report of assault.
An 83 year old woman was the victim. Deputies arrived to find Jeffrey Greg barricaded in one room. It took 4 deputies to control and arrest him, during which 2 were injured and transported to a hospital.
Greg was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Assault on a Peace Office and other charges and is being held on $1,225,000 bail.
The deputies were treated and released from the hospital.
