UPDATE August 20, 2020 at 8:10 AM: We just received notice from CalFire that the town of
Felton is now being evacuated.Around 11:30 PM last night CalFire issued evacuation orders for the town of
Ben Lomond at Hwy 9 and Bear Creek Road.
This beautiful area is being devastated by this fire. Redwoods are tough and the larger ones may survive, but it will take a long time for the forest to come back.
This fire is at 25,000 acres and 20 homes have been destroyed so far. Containment is 0%
