June 29, 2022 at 9 AM: The Rices Fire was started June 28, 2022 around 3 PM by a house fire that escaped into the forest. It has destroyed four structures so far.
796 acres have burned and it is 0% contained. Calfire is concerned about it crossing the Yuba River.

12% contained now. Excellent example why ALL of us living in any type of forest environment need to be so very careful with everything we do, to keep fires from happening.
