The Calaveras Sheriff and agent of the California ABC have cited two clerks in the county for selling alcohol to minors.
On September 9, 2023 a minor decoy operation was directed for ten retail licensees in Valley Springs, Mokelumne Hill and San Andreas.
Those clerks fined will be required to pay a minimum of $250 and 24 hours of community service for the first violation, in addition to the business facing a fine, suspension or revocation of their license.
Statistics show the those under the age of 21 will be much more likely to be involved in a crash than older drivers.
