UPDATE: September 13, 2012 at 5:45 PM: The Cheney fire is now 230 acres, but they say that good progress is being made and they lifted evacuations.
UPDATE: September 13, 2012 at 4 PM: The Cheney fire is now 100 acres Mandatory evacuations have been ordered along Cheney Creek Road.
September 13, 2012 at 2:20 PM: Firefighters are now battling a 30 acre fire off Cheney Creek Drive southwest of Susanville. This is in Lassen County.
It was reported about 1:15 PM.
