Fire end of Pennsylvania Gulch Road

UPDATE at 1 PM:  Air resources have been released to return to Columbia.

UPDATE:  At 12:25 PM it is reported that the fire of the structure is almost totally burned to the ground now. This is not far from the flume. Aircraft is overhead dropping water to prevent spread.
Part of the problem with that area is that the roads are narrow and become dirt driveways, making it difficult to get big engines in and out. As a result some are being cancelled to prevent a traffic jam.

Is there anything more terrifying in our county than a report of a fire, anywhere this time of the year?

UPDATE at 12:12 PM:  Two more water tenders were requested. So far it is reported that only minimal extension into the  brush. Some engines are not able to get in that far.

If you Google 3496, which is across the road, it is a million dollar plus home. They are holding the fire from going up the ridge at this time.

UPDATE:  It was just reported that the structure is fully engulfed and spreading into the brush.

August 17, 2014 at 12 Noon:  All engines in the area and aircraft are being sent to a structure fire at the end of Pennsylvania Gulch Road in Murphys, at the top of the ridge.

If you have any friends who live in the area, please warn them to get out. The fire has now spread to nearby vegetation.
