Now, that's a little better!

   After writing a letter of complaint to Caltrans, with Malcolm Dougherty (state Director) and their information PIO's included, we didn't hold out a lot of hope that the events
of yesterday on Hwy 4 fell on ears that care.

   We referred them to the SierraSentinel article and the photos. No one even acknowledged having received the letter. Almost as bad as PG&E.

  However, we made the drive up Hwy 4 around 3 PM and immediately noticed as we neared the work zone that all asphalt carrying trucks had their flashers on and we did not witness one going over

45 MPH in either direction.. 

    Now, that's a little better!!  After all, there are buses with school children on that highway. Will it last? Who knows!
