Comments from the Public--Free Speech!!

The SierraSentinel welcomes thoughtful comments from the public. As you most likely already know, unlike another website in the area, we moderate comments before they are posted.

Therefore hundreds of vicious comments, racist comments, violent threats or other comments that are not true or you cannot substantiate, are not allowed.

Just remember, that you are NOT REALLY anonymous, your emails can always be traced by any website, so do not post things you know are not true.  We don't want you to get in any trouble.

The truth is protected by Freedom of Speech, but intentionally false statements are not!  Please be careful when you comment.

So if we do not post any comment of yours, perhaps you should be happy that someone is trying to control your anger towards women, violence or racism, if you cannot.

People in public life, active in political campaigns, or in office are more likely to be insulted, and things brought out that may not be nice, and opinion is your right, as it is ours!

Things always get a little wild just before election time in good old Calaveras.  Have a great day!

No truer words were ever said, about elections in Calaveras.

It's pretty hard to sue a newspaper or website, tho. So expensive and every appeal is more and more.

Well, if people don't want to be written about, they should behave themselves.
