The training for the CalFire Heavy Equipment Operators continues today, May 6, 2015. They are apparently removing all black oak trees from the entire area where they are working on Bear Mountain.
How are they getting away with this? Where is the Valley Springs.com people and the Calaveras Coalition now?
The same thing is happening in the forest areas, where Supervisor Edson is promoting NO dogwoods, NO wild lilac, no cedars, firs or pines allowed.
They are all a fire danger and besides, LA needs the water they take now.
