Republican club doesn't get politics in Calaveras

At the May 26, 2015 Calaveras Supervisors meeting, the self-described leader of the Calaveras Republican club got up to speak, as usual, during Public Comments.

One of the so-called regular clown club, she espoused that our elected and appointed officials should make their positions clear on issues before they vote. Is she kidding?

Obviously, if she is speaking for ALL Republicans, they do not understand local politics.  The more the voters know about their positions, the less likely they are to get re-elected next cycle.

Honesty is not the clear choice of politicians. However, the worst are those who DO speak out about their position on an issue and then VOTE the other way.

That is what happened at a recent Planning Commission meeting. One person spoke on one side of the General Plan Housing Element issue and then voted the other way.

Typically, this is called talking out of both sides of your mouth. Now, is that dishonesty at its height, or what?
