On May 24, 2015 at approximately 1:50 PM CalFire responded to a reported fire off Hwy 4 near Telegraph Road.Approximately 1/2 acre of grass alongside the roadway was burned before CalFire units arrived and quickly extinguished it.
The cause has not been determined.
Another fire was reported at approximately 4:45 PM on Obyrnes Ferry Road, just south of Copper
Cove Drive.
This fire burned 1 1/2 acres before it was extinguished, with help from Altaville, Green Springs, San Andreas and Sierra Conservation Corp.
The cause of this fire is under investigation.
