Fire in Garden Valley area

   UPDATE:  A structure has been destroyed in this fire. It isn't yet clear if it is a residence or barn or other outbuilding. Mount Murphys is closed down at Hwy 49.


    UPDATE: There is another fire in the same area. Air attack has been ordered.

   August 17, 2015 at 12 Noon:  A fire has been reported on Mount Murphy Road in the Garden Valley area outside Placerville off Hwy 49.

    Cal Fire is responding to the scene. Power lines may be down at that location.
