From our own experience and by listening to others with similar problems the Sierra Sentinel is aware that there are way too many no good dirty thieves in Calaveras County.
Just on August 13, 2015 the Sheriff received complaints of a theft on Hogan Dam Road in Valley Springs, kayaks stolen on Thompson in Copperopolis, and a generator stolen on Ridge Road in Railroad Flat.
The normal suspect would be a close neighbor, even if the Sheriff deputy tries to say no, do your own investigation; get someone to help you. It is almost always someone you know. What do they call them "Neighbors from Hell"?
