Letter to the Editor: SEIU

     Dear SEIU:

The "Learning Break" that was taken by the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors during public comment was a "slap in (on) the face" of the SEIU
by the board chair.

Anyone knows that a closed session item can be spoken about during the non-specified "Public Comment Period" if a period of "public comment" had not already been designated for the closed session item on the agenda.

The only limiting factor in discussing a closed session item is that you cannot speak on "agreed upon" confidential items, but the speaker should not be warned as they will already know that.  That action was belittling to the speaker.

This was an idiotic attempt to intimidate and discredit the SEIU rep!  I know that the rep. is Hispanic as I am, and I take offense.

   Thank you for listening!

   Please withhold name.

You must mean Magano, who is extremely correct in speaking. To take a closed session, interrupting him, was not just rude, oliveira is so racist, he smells.

He has a right to speak when he wants. Somethings wrong down there if you ask me.
