After it was brought up several times at the April 3, 2018 candidates forum that morale is bad at the Calaveras Sheriff's Office, and DiBasilio repeatedly denied it, denied it, candidate Stevens spoke up.
He said he had a copy of the paper that said Calaveras deputies are NOT allowed to speak negatively about the Sheriff or the office.
So, when DiBasilio said that we should just ask a deputy if morale is bad and they will tell you NO, he was covering for a rule that a deputy could be fired if he criticizes.
DiBasilio lies! His deputies are rewarded for covering up a crime among the department! In fact, we know of promotions if a deputy will lie for the Sheriff and fail to file a crime from the racist friends of the Sheriff's.
The District Attorney, Yook, was totally involved in this corrupt behavior. And no one is running against her. She covers up for the crooked Sheriff, too!! We have documentation of it all.
