According to CHP on April 22, 2018 around 12;50 PM Chauncey Delongpre (44) of Stockton was driving a 1991 Jeep Cherokee on Camp 9 Road at an undetermined speed.
For an unknown reason Delongpre allowed the Jeep to travel off the edge of the roadway and it collided with a large boulder and overturned onto the passenger side.
Delongpre was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. Jana Bedford (38) of Stockton and Michael Drayer (45) of Murphys were flown to Modesto hospitals with serious injuries.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in this collision.
