According to Calaveras Sheriff deputies Rachelle Whiting and Chris Hewitt, on April 9, 2018, the office learned that Calaveras County school officials in both Calaveras and Bret Harte School districts received an email from an unknown person.
Apparently this person threatened to bring a gun to school to harm students and staff. Investigators are actively working in conjunction with the Angels Camp Police on this vague threat that gave no schools or dates.
