On May 2, 2019 around 1:30 PM the Calaveras Sheriff department reports that when a deputy made a stop of a car on Pardee Dam Road, just outside Valley Springs,the driver,Daniel Mantz (35) of Valley Springs had multiple outstanding warrants from Calaveras and Sacramento counties.
His passenger Angela Lindow (32) of Valley Springs was also found to have a misdemeanor
warrant issued in Calaveras County.
During a search of the vehicle deputies located a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun, ammunition for both, 100 syringes and a clear plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine.
Mantz was arrested and booked for the 6 alleged felony warrants plus new charges for the firearms and drugs discovered. Lindow was fined and released at the scene.
Mantz is in the Calaveras County Jail with a bail of $35,000. The investigation is ongoing.
