Former Cubs pitcher Ernie Broglio dies

Ernie Broglio was a cousin of the
Calaveras County Broglios and
a wonderful guy!
In 1966 Ernie Broglio tied for the National League in pitching victories for the Cardinals with 21, was then
famously traded for Lou Brock, considered an imperfect trade.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1985.

Broglio died in San Jose today at the age of 85 after a battle with cancer.
