Fire at Salt Springs Reservoir

  UPDATE at 4:40 PM:  Although the original estimate for the size of this fire was

approximately 100 acres possible, the fire is now around 200 acres in size.

 UPDATE at 4:25 PM:  Three heat related injuries are now reported and requesting an ambulance at the

Salt Springs Fire.   Another dozer is coming from Volcano.  They are requesting an additional helicopter.

 UPDATE at 3:30 PM:  Outside help has been requested, but denied. Local

responsibility.  Two more water tenders have been requested.

UPDATE at 3:15 PM:  Fire is now about 40 acres of grass. More dozers 

have been ordered.   Access to the fire is off Rock Creek Road between Milton and Copperopolis. 

UPDATE:  Fire is about 15 acres in size at this time.

August 18, 2020 at 3 PM:  A fire has been reported at Salt Springs Reservoir.

    Several engines and aircraft are responding to the scene.
