According to a report by CHP David Garrett (75) of Camp Connell was traveling eastbound in his Toyota Prius on Hwy 4east of Parrot's Ferry Rd on February 18, 2013 at approximately 1:55 PM.
Marcello Bigotti (51), of Walnut Creek was traveling westbound on Hwy 4 in a 2001 Dodge Ram, east of Mr. Garrett.
It is under investigating as to why Mr. Garrett allowed his vehicle to drift to the left, cross into the westbound lane of Hwy 4, and all allowed his vehicle to collide head on with Mr. Bigotti.
Mr. Garrett was pronounced dead at the scene, with the cause under investigation.
Mr. Bigotti was transported by a friend and his passenger Shirley Bigotti (51) of Walnut Creek, was transported by ambulance to Mark Twain Hospital with moderate injuries.
The collision is currently under investigation.
