4:20 PM A traffic accident between two older model pickups, resulted in one ending up down an embankment and the other smoking on the side of Hwy 4 above Murphys.
No CHP was present when we passed by the accident. We called CHP from home and reported the accident. No one had yet reported it to them.
None of the vehicles that must have witnessed it stopped. One was a PG&E vehicle, but once the smoking pickup pulled off to the right, everyone drove on by.
CHP is now enroute to the scene. Ebbetts Pass Fire just headed down to the accident.
