The Washington Redskings currently play their home games in Landover, Maryland and have their offices in Ashburn, Virginia.
The mayor of Washington DC would like them to come back to DC, but has suggested that they would need to change their name from what is considered a racial slur.
The mayor has now backed off of his comments after an onslaught of fans opposed the idea. So, the Washington Redskins will remain in Maryland and Virginia, at least for now.
