The $16.3 billion Veterans Bill was signed by President Obama yesterday. What it means to veterans here in our area?
We hear very little in the way of complaints about the treatment or waiting times of veterans here in California. However, many who live in the Mother Lode have to get to Sonora and catch a bus for the Veterans Hospital for every appointment.
With this new bill, these veterans will now be able to see a local doctor for help, instead of traveling to Palo Alto every time. We know this will be a great benefit to many we all know.
