It's very important for anyone who owns property, has a business or other assets to have a trust in case something happens to you. It can protect from overwhelming inheritance taxes, etc. However, there are different types of Trusts.
It can be dangerous if you don't get the correct type of Trust. We recommend you ALWAYS get what is called a "Revocable Trust" through an experienced attorney, because you just cannot be sure of your beneficiaries in many cases. If it is revocable, you can simply revoke it and write a new one. Anything can change, and believe me, we could tell you a scary story.
