Angels Camp City Manager got the biggest laugh! Zero revenue!!

The long hearing (actually the 2nd attempt) to get the Mark Twain Clinic approval by the Angels Camp City Council built behind the gas station on Dogtown Road, was not much of a laughing matter to residents of the area.

There was one hilarious moment, however, when someone asked the City Manager (McHatten) how much revenue this big building would bring the city.

McHatten kept looking at his City Attorney and hemmed and hawed and then said NO SALES TAX REVENUE!!  And then, hesitating again, he said ZERO PROPERTY TAXES!!

The audience began laughing, since so much wasted time (taxpayer dollars) had already been spent over a year seemingly for NOTHING.

While the audience continued to laugh, Mr. McHatten looked extremely embarrassed and ashamed (as he should) for trying to pull one over on the hard-working residents that live in the Dogtown area.

After all, it was McHatten and Hanham (City Planning Director) who got the McDonalds approved where it is, in the most dangerous place possible and right across from Dogtown Road.

If you go to work through that area in the mornings or the evenings, you know what BAD and actually DANGEROUS Planning that was.  And here they go again!

Fortunately, Lynch, Morris and Kelly voted it DOWN.  What tricks will Hanham and McHatten try next?  We can only wait and see.

But we'll remember Kulm and Soborn in the next election, won't we?
