Sierra Sentinel corrections policy....

As we have stated many times before, if someone believes an article we published has an error, omission or if they can prove that a statement is false, the editor of the Sierra Sentinel will review
and then make a decision to either correct, add, or rewrite and write the evidence and the statement of any evidence an investigation proves to be true.

We reserve the right to publish known or documented incidents without any outside or political pressure.  If you are accused of committing a reported crime, you cannot insist that it not be made public.

If you have a tainted past, you cannot demand that a newspaper or website NOT PUBLISH anything about it. The First Amendment protects the press.

Due to the internet these days, people should be concentrating on being GOOD citizens and not violating anyone else's rights, because you can be pretty much guaranteed of it going VIRAL, and of the details being available online FOREVER!!

And people into politics are the most talked about in newspapers, online sites and social media, and therefore should make sure their past is clean.

Just mail a letter to the Sierra Sentinel with all of the details, evidence, etc. and the editor will review it and act or not act, accordingly.

One more thing for those with a less than 92 IQ:  Do not break the law or harass someone who owns a newspaper or website!  That's just plan IDIOCY and you will be on news radar forever!

Thanks for posting this! Apparently the Sierra Sentinel cares about our community enough to stop cyber bulling and lies. It takes a lot more work to moderate and take out the over the top nasty comments but we thank you!
