California leads nation in Bicycle deaths

Every day we see at least one incident in our local area of a bicycle rider hit by a car while riding on a highway or local street.

No car intends to hit a cyclist, but narrow roads make passing them difficult. California leads the nation in deaths from riding a bicycle with 338 in one year, in the most recent statistics, and that isn't even counting the injured.

Bicycle paths and separate trails are the best way to keep autos and bicycles separate and both safe.
