UPDATE at 7:15 AM: Two more reports have come in that the vehicle is on fire again. Turlock Fire Department is en route. Fortunately, CHP reports that there are no injuries in this crash.
UPDATE at 6:25 AM: CHP has just arrived. Driver of vehicle is attempting to get her belongings out of burning car and others are standing near the burning car, which is now fully engulfed.
May 15, 2015 at 6:20 AM: According to one witness, a car that was speeding ended up rear-ending a semi-truck on southbound Hwy 99 at Monte Vista Ave. in Turlock.
The Volkswagen Jetta is on fire and the grass alongside the freeway is on fire, per CHP. Emergency personnel is responding to the scene. Avoid the area if possible.
