According to CHP on August 8, 2015 around 6:05 PM, Jeanine White (61) of Valley Springs was driving a 2015 Chevy Silverado on Pettinger Road in Burson.
She was stopped at the intersection of Pettinger and Southworth, preparing to make a left hand turn onto Southworth.
Ryan Schnepple (17) of Valley Springs was driving a 2004 Toyota Highlander on Southworth at approximately 55 MPH, approaching Pettinger.
Ms. White failed to yield the right-of-way to the Toyota and began to accelerate out of the intersection, causing the front end of the Toyota to collide with left side of the Chevy.
As a result, the Chevy spun around and collided with a fence. Mr. Schnepple was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Alcohol and or drugs were not a factor in this collision.
