Rancho Calaveras residents organized, intelligent and they CARE!

We continue to be impressed by the residents and voters of Rancho Calaveras, or District 5. Even though the Calaveras Planning Department Director Maurer and Calaveras Supervisor Kearney, along with his Planning Commissioner Tunno, tried to HIDE the entire project from them, they got caught!

MyValleySprings.com exposed their corruption to the world and then organized meetings quickly to decide how to fight their own elected officials and prevent an ASPHALT plant in their NEIGHBORHOOD.

Who knew that Supervisor Kearney would be a sneaky, secretive, and therefore, corrupt Supervisor.  He is anti property rights where any homebuilding is concerned, but likes ASPHALT plants.  How much money did Ford give him for reelection campaign?

   The fight is not over!!

It sure neat to see a bunch of sore losers try to paint Supervisor Kearney into a corner. He clearly articulated what he asked of the various departments which was to streamline the bureaucratic roadblocks and not ignore them.
I still have major concerns with the traffic on HWY 26 should this project come to fruition but in my humble opinion allthe hype regarding the environmental concerns are nothing but "Big fears, little risks".
From my viewpoint the whole problem stems from this Maurer chap making that inane statement that "an asphalt plant is the same as a cement (concrete) plant".
Yes, I did vote for Kearney because I believe he was the best qualified.

Les, I supported him too, but cannot anymore. He did try, in my opinion, to sneak this thru without the public, and especially his constituents, knowing about it.

Sorry, but I agree with those who say he cannot be trusted.

My friend I guess we are all entitled to our own opinion. How did that old saying go "trust but verify"? Just exactly what did Kearney do or not do that one could say that he tried to sneak one through? In my myopic view he was just trying to assist a resident (Hogan Quarry). Gotta hand it to Joyce and her gang for seeing through all the bovine scat Hogan and group are putting out. Mauer, in my opinion, is to blame for the current mess and if Supervisor Kearney is proven to be the person who forced him to make his lame comment then I will be forced to view Supervisor Kearney in a differentregard.
Sure glad I never entered the political arena as Tar and feathers scare the heck out of me....
Hang in there

Just checking in to see what yall are saying and Les, Mr. Maurer will never tell us if Karney and tuno told him to sneak it thru. Remember, the BOS hires and fires dept heads like him.

When has Mr K ever helped out a homeowner trying to get a house built? Ever? Seems like he hates the good jobs and loves the dirty jobs like asphalt to me, too.

Just reading your comments, Les. Hogan Quarry owner lives in another county, NOT a CONSTITUENT. And Ford Construction in general, in my opinion, has a terrible reputation.

Hey wonderful folks out there,
All I'm saying is that the traffic situation most probably will screw up Hwy 26. I don't keep track of all of Kearney's day to day dealings therefore I can't comment on your note. With regard to the owner of Hogan living in another county what about Taco Bell,O'Reillys,MarVal,Burger King
Sender's,etc. Seems like Brian Moss had the cajoles to standup for what is the "rule of the land" I'm quoting one of the famous drop back sayings of the dude from District 2.(Slivensky or whatever).
This fun.

Well let's see here. Are the following residents of Calaveras county:
MarVal, CVS,O'Reilly,Burger King, Taco Bell?
C'mon give the chap a break and kindly tell him that while we value his making little rocks out of big ones we want to see him continue in this venue but the AC plant and it's attendant paving season traffic is not acceptable. Don't get bogged in the environmental concerns, zero in on the seasonal traffic.

No, those big corps are not residents, any more than corps are PEOPLE! Sorry Les, but most of us think we have to go after Kearny the environmental and everything. We annot let that man be reelected.
