Tri-Dam to draw down Tulloch 28'--CCWD plans extensions

CCWD's current intake pumps
UPDATE: Per Susan Larsen of Tri-Dam, this is NOT a permanent drawdown. It is just a preparation in case the drought is extended through 2016.

As apparently the direct result of a letter to Lake Tulloch property owners dated August 6, 2015 regarding a planned draw down of water from Lake Tulloch, CCWD has issued its own press release.

Per CCWD, in order to be sure of providing water to its 7000 customers and those in the future, they plan to move forward with building extensions to its Lake Tulloch's intake pumps.

The drawdown amounts planned are currently for 28.5' of shoreline to become visible.  It is stated in the letter that they need to do this to test the spillgates.

So is this simply the yearly drawdown or is this a higher amount of release from Tulloch than in past years?  And will this then become permanent, making it necessary for CCWD to install
extensions to pump water from the Lake?

Well take a look at Malone's and it's shoreline, now picture your house and dock there. If you want a picture of the water and your home, you better step back some, back up some more, more.....more...ok, drive a 1/2 mile back and try taking the picture.
