Delsie Vincent of Murphys

Following a brief illness, Delsie L. Vincent passed away on December 3, 2015 at her home in Murphys, lovingly surrounded
by her life partner, Nancy Cohen and close friends.

Delsie was born in New York on November 3, 1939. She received her education in New York as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

She was a Captain in the United States Army and served in Germany and Vietnam.  After the war, she worked for Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City until her retirement.

Delsie and Nancy moved to Murphys in 1990 because she loved the beauty of the Sierra Foothills.  She enjoyed golf, photography, birdwatching and in her earlier years, Broadway musicals.

Delsie was known for her sense of humor, her loving friendships and her deep appreciation for all animals, particularly cats.

She is survived by her brother H. Bartlett Vincent MD and his family of Washington State and her life partner, Nancy Cohen.

She was a beloved Aunt to Nancy's nieces and nephews and was treasured as a dear friend by many.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday December 12, 2015 at Angels Memorial Chapel in Angels Camp, who is handling arrangements.
