Kenneth Dale Baker of Vallecito

   Kenneth Dale Baker of Vallecito, passed into Glory after a short illness on December 27, 2015.

    Kenny was born in Long Beach on January 10, 1963 to Dwight 'Ed' and Mary Kesterson Baker.

   He graduated from Calaveras High School
and joined the Navy, sailing his maiden cruise on the USS Carl Vincent, an aircraft carrier.

   This was a yearlong, around the world cruise, stopping in every major port, with its home port in San Diego.

   After discharge, he attended Sacramento City College, then returned to Calaveras
County, working as a landscaper.

   In 2010 Kenny opened his own property maintenance business. He was an avid Seahawks fan and enjoyed fishing, boating, camping an NASCAR racing.

   Kenny is survived by his mother Mary Baker of Vallecito, sister and brother-in-law Becky and Joe Berube, sister Vickie Baker Dunn of Elk Grove, nephews Joey and Jason Berube, nieces Holly Self and Katie Owensby and 6 great nieces and nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

    Kenny was preceded in death by his father Dwight 'Ed' Baker and older brother Timothy E. Baker.

    Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at Refuge Church, 641 Murphys Grade Road in Angels Camp on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 1 PM.

   San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
