Mr. Jim Casey

Subject: Mr. Jim Casey

Today I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Jim Casey and he is certain that the activities, relayed to me from a "concerned parent" in West Point,
did not happen.

I am respecting Mr. Casey's request to notify all who received the original email on this matter, that admittedly, in retrospect I should have followed proper protocol, in this instance being a contact to Superintendent Campbell only,  without any additional carbon copies.

The complaint contact I received was passionately indignant and my sense of obligation as an elected official in these times of government ineptness at all levels, to try to be as responsive as possible, lead me to choose  a poor course of action.

After speaking with Mr. Casey I could tell that he had experienced something that was not intended on my part and a scenario I could empathize with as a former educator myself.

My hope is, from this experience we remember passions run deep, especially when it comes to political contests in major election years and with that in mind develop a little more patience. On this particular occasion, many could quickly and easily make the point that I would be well served to take my own advice and to them I say touch'e.

Respectfully,  Darren Spellman

Yes, we know you're a former educator. You won't let us forget it. We also know you are a supervisor not an elected school board member. Do the job you were elected to do. Other activities do them as citizen Spellman.

Yeah, a former educator who couldn't get tenured in three different school districts so he finally ran for political office and won, yet still can't shut up and just do his job! This guy's a quack.
