Public Hearing on Sawmill Project September 13, 2012

The first large project to come before the Planning Commission in years is the Sawmill Project, by Castle and Cooke in Copperopolis.

In what some say  appears to be an attempt to get this approved before the new General Plan is adopted and a possibility of a  new Supervisor after the election in November, some documents are not complete.

Regardless, at 9 AM on Thursday September 13, 2012 a public hearing will be held at the Planning Commission meeting.

The C & C response and letter from their Planned Partner people are very insulting to the Planning Department.

Why are they pushing this? They seem to be threatening legal action of some sort. Why now?

I'm very suspicious of this.

I want to know why George Fry is promoting this? I thought he knew about planning and land issues.

Obviously not!

If they build more houses now, our houses will go down further in value.
