Two Adults Arrested at the Sheriff's Office in Unrelated Bizarre Incidents

(San Andreas, CA) On 11/08/12 deputies at the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office arrested two adults in unrelated matters who displayed bizarre behavior while conducting business at the Sheriff's Office.

At approximately 7:20 am while walking through a public area outside the Sheriff's Office building to report for work, a female Sheriff's Service Technician was chased and yelled at by a male adult.

The male was later identified as Harold Wayne Bunnell (59) of Valley Springs. The Service Technician immediately ran inside the Sheriff's Office and summoned help from a deputy inside.

The deputy contacted Suspect Bunnell and determined that he was under the influence of a controlled substance, allegedly methamphetamine.

Suspect Bunnell, who is on probation, was reportedly at the Sheriff's Office to turn himself in on a misdemeanor arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior Driving Under the Influence charge.

Suspect Bunnell was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail on the outstanding warrant as well as the new charge of violating of Health & Safety Code 11550 (A): Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (misdemeanor).

On the same date at approx. 9:55 am an adult female, identified as Camille Suzanne Green (49) of Mokelumne Hill, walked into the Sheriff's Office public lobby carrying a loaded revolver inside a holster on her hip.

The Sheriff's Deputy working the front desk immediately challenged Suspect Green and removed the loaded handgun from her.

Other deputies responded to assist and placed Suspect Green under arrest. Upon being interviewed Suspect Green stated that she was carrying the gun because she was in fear for her life, although she was unable to coherently describe the exact details of why she was in fear.

Further investigation revealed that Suspect Green was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

She was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on the charges of Penal Code 25850 (a): Carrying a Loaded Firearm in a Public Place (misdemeanor); Health & Safety Code 11550 (A): Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (misdemeanor); Health & Safety Code 11550 (c): Use of a Controlled Substance while in Possession of a Firearm (Felony); and Penal Code 171B (A)(1): Possession of a Firearm in a Public Building (felony).
