Angels Camp Facade Project

A grant that paid for free facade improvement for downtown Angels Camp businesses is complete.  At the February 7, 2012 meeting it was mentioned that the grant was for $300,000.

However, it ended up with only 6 businesses participating due to businesses closing down in the historic area.

Angels City council person Wes Kulm stated that it gave local construction people jobs. How could that be, when the company brought its own employees from Placerville?  How many local people worked on this block grant construction project?.

Apparently $175,000 was spent on the project.

A free facade for a fire hazard? Money well spent!
