According to CHP on June 1, 2013, Betty Cunningham (68) of San Andreas, was driving
an 1987 Ford in the westbound traffic lane of Mountain Ranch Rd near Willow Creek Rd. in San Andreas.
The speed of the Ford is unknown, but for an unknown reason, she allowed the Ford to travel to the left, across the eastbound traffic lane.
The Ford then went off the paved portion of the roadway while attempting to negotiate a natural curve in the roadway to her right.
The Ford traveled down the shallow ditch/embankment then continued up the far side of the ditch/embankment.
The Ford then hit a tree. After the collision, the Ford came to rest on its wheels facing in a Westerly direction off the roadway.
It is unknown whether or not the driver was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.
She was transported to Kaiser South in Sacramento, but sadly did not survive.
