Assemblyman Bigelow Appointment to Committee

According to a press release by Assemblyman Frank Bigelow's office, he was appointed to the Select Committee on Renewable Energy Economy in Rural California for the 2013-14 legislative session.

"I am honored to be appointed to the Select Committee on Renewable Energy Economy in Rural California to help develop a strategy to integrate renewable energy into California's rural economies," Bigelow said.

"As chair of the Legislative Rural Caucus, I am happy to help take the lead on this issue and work to bring jobs to rural California and help strengthen rural economies."

Bigelow is one of seven members on the bi-partisan committee that is charged with examining issues affecting the development of renewable energy projects in rural areas of California for the purpose of creating policy that facilitates the state's renewable energy goals.

The committee must also ensure job retention and creation, environmental protection and economic outcomes in rural communities.
